Sustainable Development?

Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs***

A number of John’s Growlypaw activities relate to Sustainable Development, something he is a strong advocate for because it makes good business sense to develop products, services and working practices that offer good ROI whilst also being kind to the environment and the community.

Moxie Communications helps organisations embrace sustainability as a their modus operandi and the company is a member of the Sustainable Business Network, Growlypaw was one of several corporate sponsors of the Wellington Youth Sustainability Eco-forum held in Te Papa in December 2008.

John was a judge in the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) Everyday Excellence Awards for 2009 for the Large Business category.

He was asked via MFAT and the Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce to present a paper on CSR at the October 2009 APEC Symposium on CSR and PPP in Hanoi Viet Nam. The paper was titled – CSR – Customers, Contracts and Enlightened Self-interest.
